Kitsumkalum Garden staff and ‘Na Aksa Gyilak’yoo School will be working together with the Terrace Food Association, Ksan, and K5T to bring a Horticulture (the science of growing and caring for plants, for food, decoration, or landscaping) program to the village.
The school will need living space for the student to cultivate their garden skills. We are looking for community members within Kitsumkalum who would like their yards to be upgraded with either: garden boxes, micro farms, or pollinator fields.
Working the garden will be voluntary for homeowners. Kitsumkalum staff and students can maintain, cultivate, and harvest the produce.
Please deliver your filled out slip of paper to the Medical Centre or Band Office by 13:00 on April 11th. We need to know how many people would like their yards upgraded in order to buy the needed materials (wood, soil, and seeds).
