Kitsumkalum Spring Clean Up 2024
APRIL 16TH TO MAY 16TH 2024
Key Activities & Dates:
OPEN THURSDAYS to SATURDAYS 9:00am-4:00pm
Waste Disposal & Recycling Bins – Starting Thursday April 18th from 9am-4pm bins will be at the spokeshute corner location. The gate will only be open at those times.
Bins will be for:
– household waste
– metal
– yard waste
There will also be totes for recycling.
APRIL 16, 2024
Community Pick Up Day & Lunch – Tuesday, April 16th from 10:00 am until 12:30 pm. The Clean up will involve volunteers strolling our streets and picking up litter in ditches and public spaces. Gloves and supplies will be provided, and lunch will be served to anyone that comes out! Our meet up location will be the Kitsumkalum Health Centre Parking Lot.
April 24 & April 25, 2024
Oversized Items Collection – Community members must have their bulky items (e.g. furniture, shelves, cupboards, etc.) set out by noon on Wednesday April 24th and Thursday April 25th for our Public Works to haul away.
MAY 1, 2024
Fire Smart Day – EPC Liam Nutma will be in the community assessing fire smart homes from 10AM to 12 PM & from 12PM -2PM he will be at the gazebo behind the health unit to answer any of your concerns or questions regarding Fire Smarting Residential properties – There will be food and refreshment at the Gazebo. If you are interested in fire smarting your property but unsure how to do so, please come visit and we can work together to build a safer home and neighborhood.
Elders can call to make arrangements for a Volunteer to help with yard cleaning.
