To celebrate Earth Week, join SkeenaWild, Greater Terrace Beautification Society, City of Terrace and Regional District of Kitimat-Stikine to clean up our communities, trails and rivers on Sunday April 21st, 2024!
How to join?
Come to George Little Park anytime between 12 noon and 4 p.m. to pick up your bags and gloves, head out into the community to clean up an area, and then bring your garbage back for disposal (we will have a garbage dumpster and metal recycling bin). When you drop off your garbage, you will be entered into a draw for a chance to win some great prizes. Plus, there will be kids’ activities, a story walk by the Terrace Public Library, meet with a new initiative, Terrace Sustainability Hub, and free ice cream from McDonald’s.
They will also have a crew that focuses on cleaning up illegal dump sites outside the community along the rivers and other popular recreational spots. Let them know of any spots that you think need cleaning up.
