Arctic Outflow Warning in effect for:
- North Coast – inland including Terrace
Strong outflow winds and cold wind chill are expected or occurring, today and tomorrow.
Some moderation expected during the daytime, wind chill values will lower to near minus 20 in the overnight and early morning hours.
- Frostbite and hypothermia will happen within minutes if precautions are not taken
- Wear hats, scarves and mittens or gloves
- Limit outdoor activities
- Ensure that shelter is provided for pets and outdoor animals
