The Board of Directors of ‘Na Aksa Gyilak’yoo School and Kitsumkalum Band Council would like to publicly acknowledge and thank Principal Elmer Moody for his continued leadership and dedication to our students, staff, and community.
Under his guidance, our school has strengthened academic programs, upheld high standards of teaching and learning, and ensured that Sm’algyax language and culture remain at the heart of our education. Principal Moody brings with him a strong educational background and many years of leadership experience, which have greatly contributed to the academic and cultural growth of our students. His deep cultural knowledge and commitment to student success have been a true benefit to our community.
We recognize that concerns sometimes arise within schools. As with any institution, ‘Na Aksa Gyilak’yoo School follows clear policies and procedures to address questions or complaints. These established processes are in place to ensure that communication remains respectful and that any concerns are handled in a fair and appropriate way.
As part of this commitment, our school has policies in place to ensure that staff, students, and families are protected from bullying and harassment. These policies help us maintain a safe, respectful, and supportive environment for everyone. Where necessary, the Board will take appropriate steps to protect the integrity and safety of our staff, students, and school environment.
Our school community is guided by Loomsk (respect), and we encourage all dialogue to reflect this value. We remain committed to providing a safe, nurturing, and caring environment where students can achieve their full academic, cultural, and personal potential.
We stand beside Principal Moody, our staff, and our students, and we will continue to work together with families, Elders, and community members to ensure the success and well-being of our learners.
Toyaxsuut nuusm da txaniis nuusm (thank you all very much),
The Board of Directors of ‘Na Aksa Gyilak’yoo School and Kitsumkalum Band Council
