FSC CATCH MONITORING 2026
The Kitsumkalum FSC Catch Monitor program has started for the 2026 salmon harvest season.
The FSC Catch Monitors will be conducting interviews for Section 35, Food, Social & Ceremonial (FSC) effort and harvest of salmon, along the Lower Skeena River from mid- May to mid- September.
The monitors will be interviewing FSC fishers at the boat launches, on reserve, electronically, and also conducting live interviews when possible.
Please cooperate and provide your successful and non- successful catch report upon request.
Harvest Information Required; Name, Date. Time, Location, Species, Amount
Harvest and effort data is used toward Kitsumkalum future planning and management of natural resources.
These records also help keep valuable and accurate data of fish harvest sites with- in Kitsumkalum Tradition Territory.
The Catch Monitor program has been in successful operation since 2001.
You can also report your FSC Catch when returning and renewing your Kitsumkalum FSC Designation Fishing Permits. For both Freshwater and Marine FSC Fisheries.
Harvest Information Required: Name, Date. Time, Location, Species, Amount.
