Kitsumkalum Emergency Services – Notice Update

Update – Power Outage 

As of 11:39 AM on March 16, 2026, the BC Hydro Duty Officer reports that a crew is expected to arrive on scene at approximately 12:33 PM to assess the damage. An update and estimated timeline for power restoration will be provided to the community after the assessment. 

Kitsumkalum Emergency Services are aware of the power outage affecting multiple homes and are working with BC Hydro toward a solution. 

Kitsumkalum First Nations Health Centre will be reaching out to vulnerable community members to ensure their safety and well-being. Kitsumkalum Public Works is also clearing snow to maintain access to properties.
