Please note this event is a welcoming to the walkers and if you wish to eat please bring a dish to share, potluck style.
 
Everyone is welcome to greet the walkers at 4:00 pm
Welcoming event starts at 6:00 pm
 
This will be a short event welcoming Gladys and her team of walkers, as they need a good nights rest. Kitsumkalum school will be cooking salmon to feed the walkers on their journey.
 
This is a Commemoration Walk for Tamara Chipman, and as well, to keep the MMIW in the forefront.
Here’s the information from Gladys Radek and her team on the upcoming: Tamara’s Walk
Starting from Prince Rupert on September 21st,
Into Kitsumkalum the evening of September 22nd.,
Then on to Moricetown and Smithers by September 25th.,
The Kitsumkalum school will be showing the Song/Video that the Kitsumkalum School made last year to Gladys and her Team.
Please bring a dish to share.
 
Note: Gladys is the Aunty to Tamara Chipman., Gladys moved to the east coast for a few years to be front and centre on the national inquiry and will also have one of the Commissioners walking with them.

Snack food & fruit
And any other donations you would like help them with.
