TRAINING COURSE DATES

The need for accurate and reliable news has never been more important. Students selected for this program will
gain modern skills they can implement in their community or in urban settings. Hosted at CFNR and sponsored
by TRICORP, students who will learn a high-level introduction to each of these topics:
● Journalism & News
● Writing
● Legal, Libel, Copyright
● Presentation
● Announcing
● Weather & Sports
● Interviewing & Reporting
● Video & audio editing

All equipment, including computers will be provided, and each student will have hands-on training in each course aspect, all in a safe and sanitized environment with PPE provided if required. For those successful applicants enrolled in this course, accommodations and 3 healthy meals (and snacks) will be provided to create a healthy learning environment.

Participants must be:
● Be of aboriginal ancestry
● Be 18 years of age or older
● Have or be able to acquire a valid driver’s license
● Demonstrate a professional attitude, be punctual, and commit to the program
● Be proactive in their training
