Re: Store Closure For Two Weeks Due to COVID-19 in Neighbouring Communities
As of December 31, 2020, the House of Sim-oi-Ghets Gift Store has been directed to close its doors for 2 weeks.
This decision is based on the rapid increase in COVID-19 cases in Kitselas, the Nisga’a Nation, Kitimat and Terrace area. This is a precautionary measure to keep the community of Kitsumkalum closed, safe and help attempts to flatten the curve.
Kitsumkalum Leadership and the Emergency Response Team will re-evaluate this decision on January 12th, 2021 for a tentative January 14, 2021 re-opening.
We apologies for any inconveniences this may cause and thank you all for your continued support and understanding as we all do our part to stay safe and limit the spread of COVID-19.
