The Kitsumkalum First Nation Environment, Lands and Referrals Department respectfully invites you to attend a Community Event and Presentation on our Cultural Heritage Rematriation Project
Kitsumkalum First Nation has partnered with Kwusen Research & Media to conduct museum collection and archival research on Kitsumkalum and Tsimshian art, artifacts, belongings, and records held in museums and archives across the world. Kwusen has gathered thousands of museum and archival records which they are uploading into Kitsumkalum’s Community KnowledgeKeeper (CKK) database, in the newly designed museum belongings feature.
This event is a chance for community members to learn more about this important project, explore the materials that have been gathered, and see how we are reclaiming and preserving our cultural heritage.
We would be grateful if you could attend. We hope to see you there!
