Kalum Quarry LP is currently recruiting a Mine Maintenance Fuel and Lube Technician to join our
growing team.
Candidates should demonstrate a history of experience as a technician handling heavy-duty equipment
service and maintenance with a primary focus on equipment fueling and greasing, fluid checks,
inspection of various belts, hoses and filters, checking air levels and gauges and basic maintenance with
limited supervision and direction. In addition, you maintain a high degree of cleanliness on the job.
Summary
Reporting to the Mine Equipment Supervisor, the Field Lube Service person is responsible for providing
lube and fuel for all mobile equipment operating on the mine site.
Responsibilities
• Work safely in a mining environment following company procedures and policies
• Fuel, grease, and lubricate equipment
• Follow equipment service and maintenance schedules and advise if repair is required
• Clean, lubricate and perform other daily and scheduled routine maintenance work on tools and
equipment
• Accurately complete all work reports and maintenance logs
Working Conditions
• Exposure to working outdoors in all weather conditions, operating a light vehicle at our
operations, in various weather conditions and terrain.
• Regular exposure to lifting and moving items and equipment up to 50 pounds,
• Work will require climbing on equipment and under equipment occasionally in wet muddy
conditions
• Use of required personal protective equipment
• Regular exposure to conditions including heat, humidity, and dust
• Operation and use of necessary tools, machinery, or equipment
• Extended periods of standing, and other physically demanding conditions
• Exposure to hazards associated with the industry/trade
Requirements
• Provide proof of a valid class 5/7N driver’s license,
• Operates safely with care and attention to the equipment, the jobsite and the crew
• Strict attention and compliance with equipment cleanliness, maintenance and completing logs
• Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions and lifting up to 50 lbs
• Good communication skills
• Reliable transportation
