Construction Officer Job Shadow Opportunity

As a construction officer job shadow you will:

  • Make Safety your number one priority at all times.
  • Learn how to model BC Hydro’s Values.
  • Read and prepare reports including daily activity logs of your progress.
  • Shadow senior construction officers, engineers or managers inspecting project activities such as transmission lines, substations, underground tunnels and hydroelectric developments.
  • Learn how Construction Officers administer contracts and liaise with contractors/Construction Services to ensure the work, materials, progress and costs meet BC Hydro expectations.
  • Observe site testing, surveying and estimating activities.
  • Perform non-safety-sensitive tasks that will be assigned to you and monitored by a qualified Manager or Supervisor in a technical environment.
