Job Description and Duties

Northwest Community College (NWCC), Terrace Campus, invites applications in order to create a pool of qualified candidates for auxiliary on-call Labourer positions. The on-call period will commence as soon as possible and end December 31, 2017 (for up to 5 days per week). A flexible schedule is required as some evening and weekend work may be necessary as well as some travel. Salary will be in accordance with the BCGEU Support Staff Scale, Labourer rate.

Duties: Miscellaneous facilities maintenance and grounds tasks as required.

Qualifications
A minimum of grade 12 education or equivalent; a valid Driver’s license (a current driver’s abstract is required). Preferences include: maintenance and carpentry skills and experience and Forklift Operator Certificate.

Additional abilities include:

Strong and physically fit with the ability to ability to lift and transport heavy / bulky items
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to work safely both as a team member as well as independently
