Kitsumkalum is still following the Provincial Health Orders set out by BC Provincial Health Officer Dr. Bonnie Henry.
Vaccinations for the province started in December with the Phase 1 high-risk population and is now in Phase 2 with the 90+ seniors and Indigenous elders 65+. Vaccinations of the general population is expected to start in Phase 3 and Phase 4, which is April to September.
Kitsumkalum started vaccinations for the community in February and will continue as more become available.
With vaccinations in the very early stages, Kitsumkalum advises that all community members and offices continue to follow the Provincial Health Orders until otherwise stated by the Provincial Health Officer.
